Hello, Historically, virtually all aspects of operating a business included certain government environmental, health, safety and regulatory influences.  Today, operating a business increasingly includes the regulatory and social pressures of a low greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions renewable energy intensive world.  These pressures are rising in both number and complexity in how a company operates, the products it sells, its vendor relationships, where to keep the thermostat in the office, the carbon footprint of shipping and business travel, etc.  Questions arise on how to comply with future GHG laws and regulations, how does one operate and leverage those investments, how will efforts be recovered financially in the normal costs of doing business, what material effect will this have on the bottom line and are the right programs in place to respond to inquiries down the road.
